We got bumped down to bronze, we’re fine with that. We might be dropping STA and moving to UGC 7v7 instead. After tonight though, might not be any rush to leave STA necessarily. I guess it depends on what people feel like doing. Who knows if we’ll be able to dredge up 7 (8 this week) every Sunday though.
Tonight’s results against UK:
rd1: 60-140
rd2: 290-170
total (for those who flunked math): 350-310
Here’s the writeup, written by pyro/bus:
So today at work I was doing a PM C on unit 59 when I noticed something terribly wrong with the air brakes, the return spring on the passenger side shoes had fallen off. So after finishing the PM C I had to manipulate our $40,000 lifts in such a way that they lowered the bus down to the ground and then I put a 22 ton jack stand under the front axle on the passenger side to suspend the tire in the air.
I got our .75†impact, which puts out about 1,000lbs of torque, and removed the lug nuts to get the tire/wheel off, and after that was off I bear hugged the 70lb drum and set it on the floor with a finesse found only in the path to daegalus. The shoes of course fell to the ground because there were 2 springs left (out of 3) pulling them the opposite way. I had to find the return spring and then place the shoes back the axle and adjust the slack adjuster so the s-cam was in the appropriate position to put the rollers back on the shoes. After I did that I put the drum and tire/wheel back on and tightened the lug nuts faster than a pit crew and was done. Removed the jack stand and set this unit back on the floor under it’s own power of suspension and someone else parked it back in its space on the lot because I had better shit to do.
